Job Description
Lockheed Martin is seeking a KAF Management Assistant / Life Support Coordinator for a position at Kandahar Airfield in Afghanistan. This position is contingent upon contract award. This position is as an Assistant Site Manager for Kandahar (KAF) assets supporting the NSRWA CLS-Afghanistan program. The number one priority of the Site Manager team is Life Safety. This is accomplished by managing / coordinating the following activities:
Health and safety
Fire safety
Physical and Operational Security
Maintenance, testing and inspections
Cleaning/ Janitorial services
Operations: The day-to-day running of the building(s) which includes business continuity planning: space allocation and changes (billeting, offices, work areas)
Property Management including health and welfare activities and facilities (dining facilities, laundry services, postal services)
Information Technology connectivity
Coordination with the base/installation engineers for maintenance and repairs of all internally used facilities Close coordination with the Site Manager/PM to ensure all operational, logistic and administrative requirements are met.
Basic Qualifications
Must have High School diploma or GED certificate and a BS/BA degree is highly desirable Must have experience in related technical order production such as processing of source data through to publication, familiarity with military specifications for TOs, editing, and the inter-filing of TO updates into basic manuals. Must be familiar with TO library database management systems Position also requires experience in management and/or administrative functions to include word processing, spreadsheets, software, database, and schedule management. Must be able to pass/qualify all CENTCOM CRC medical and training requirements Must be a US Citizen Must possess a current passport Must possess a valid state driver's license Must read, write, speak and understand English Must possess or be able to obtain an appropriate security clearance level - if required
Desired skills
A BS/BA degree is preferred Should have working knowledge of facility and/or installation management Should have experience working in an austere environment with limited resources Should have working experience with US Government contracts, performance requirements, and obligations Should have experience with Microsoft Office Suite, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access
