Job Description
This position is at Kandahar in Afghanistan. Responsible to the Program Manager for supervising simultaneous maintenance, modification and repair projects on a variety of fixed and rotary wing aircraft; coordinating with government and contractor engineering personnel and inspectors; and training of foreign military personnel. Responsible for coordinating first level maintenance, back shop repairs, avionics and mission equipment support, and flight training devices; while leading multiple first line mechanics.
Basic Qualifications
At a minimum should have 10 years relevant work experience in fixed wing and rotary wing maintenance FAA aircraft and engine mechanic license (A&P;) Ability to coordinate and communicate with US, NATO, and Afghan Air Force officials Final secret clearance Must have experience with PC-12 or similar aircraft Must be able to pass/qualify all CENTCOM CRC medical and training requirements Must be knowledgeable and conversant in military flight operations, safety, standardization, and supervision instructions, student management, and maintenance Must be knowledgeable of Flight Operation Plan and Ground Operating Procedure Operations Equivalent experience/education combinations are permitted for this position which is 14 years of related experience and a BS degree in a related discipline
Desired skills
Should possess a full understanding of US DoD military aviation maintenance operations Military deployment experience is highly desired and deployment experience to the CENTCOM region is desired Maintenance and maintenance training experience preferably in an FMS environment
