Janitor/Custodian
An award winning company is seeking responsible and eager candidates for multiple custodial/janitorial position openings. All services will be performed for educational buildings at Fort Campbell, KY. Qualified candidates will be responsible for maintaining their assigned facility in clean and sanitary condition.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Service, clean, and supply restrooms.
Clean, polish, and dust furniture and fixtures.
Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors.
Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming them.
Steam-clean or shampoo carpets.
Strip, seal, finish, and polish floors.
Gather and empty trash.
Move furniture, equipment, and supplies, either manually or by using hand trucks.
Set up and arrange tables, chairs, and other items to prepare facilities for events such as banquets, athletic events, and meetings.
Clear debris from grounds and maintain exterior hard surfaces.
Notify supervisors concerning the need for major repairs or needed actions, especially concerning potential safety hazards for facility patrons.
Keep inventory of supplies and notify managers of supply and equipment needs.
REQUIRED SKILLS OR ABILITIES
Professional interaction with employees and clients.
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions to complete assigned tasks accurately and on time.
Ability to work effectively with a team as well as function independently.
Maintains previous experience and knowledge with cleaning equipment, products, techniques, and standards.
Understands the proper and safe use of cleaning products and equipment such as disinfectants, glass cleaners, floor buffers, power washers, etc.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Candidates shall have a minimum of one year of janitorial/custodial experience.
In lieu of experience, candidates may demonstrate a combination of comparable experience and/or education related to the essential responsibilities listed above.
In addition to the above requirements, candidates must:
Complete company training and required customer training in a timely manner.
Maintain a valid driver's license and proof of current vehicle insurance.
Follow all customer policies.
Be able to pass a thorough background check;
Perform all job duties in a manner that demonstrates a commitment to company values.
Displays awareness and understanding of all cultural and ethnic background implications of clients, staff members, and other associated individual/groups.
Ability to perform other duties as assigned.
Maintains reliable transportation.
Can pass initial employment drug testing and random drug testing.
